흔히 감성과 경제는 직접적으로 연관이 없다고 여긴다. 실제로 근대사회가 형성되면서 이 두 영역은 서로 대립하면서 넘나들 수 없는 깊은 장벽을 쌓아 왔다. 하지만 역설적이게도 감성과 경제는 실제로 밀접하게 관련을 맺으면서 영향을 주고받아 왔다. 특히 현대 경제는 이런 융합을 그 어느 때보다 요구하고 있다. 감성과 경제가 서로 소통해온 역사를 접하면서 학생들은 감성경제의 중요성을 인지하게 된다.
교과목해설(영문)
It is generally said that sentiments and economics are not directly relevant to each other. These two areas have been opposed to each other to build an impenetrable barrier between them with the rise of modern society. Human affects and economics, however, have been paradoxically tied up with each other. Current times in particular require their fusion more than ever before. Being familiar to a long history of the mutual entanglement of sentiments and economics, students will acknowledge the importance of the economy of sentiments.
